There are lots of pom makers out there like this, but in my opinion Clover is the best. 

Pom-Pom Maker Set

This is my favorite way to keep track of rows/rounds on a piece when I need to. I just place it on my index finger of my working yarn hand, and click the button with my thumb. Easy peasy!

Susan Bates Digital Row Counter

I like to use bent tip needles when sewing my work together. It makes it easier to see the stitches I'm picking up. I also prefer metal ones because I can be pretty rough on my needles. Also I can stick them to a magnet and not have to worry about losing them as much.
